The competition preparation for preschoolers and their parents began long before the event. This year the foundation of all creative works and tests were the tales by Alexander Pushkin. "The importance of the competition is the joint participation of the parent, child and teacher, as well as attaching to literature. Especially valuable is that participants re-read the stories, viewed pictures to the stories and then made a model ", - said Irina Dolkart, the head of the Palace library.
Inspired by the tales the teams presented the goldfish, which could swim mechanically in the sea, and the palace of Tsar Saltan, reminded of St. Basil's Cathedral and the barrel that was floating to it. There was a green oak with a mermaid sitting on the branches, a cat scientist, a cockerel with the worker Blockhead and devils, who had their own faces and characters.
The works were assessed separately. The jury gave three first places in each age category.
During the contest day participants had two tasks: to build a simple model for a set time and to design something on a given topic.
While the kids were working hard the parents took part in the quiz devoted to the works by Alexander Pushkin. After a brief excursion into his biography, they were asked questions. The quiz showed how the parents’ level of involvement in the preparation for the competition.
The winners in all age categories were announced at the end of the day.
