Pupils did not regret that spent their holidays on studies. Lectures were read by researchers from the institutions of the "closed" cities - Snezhinsk and Ozersk. Moreover, we were able to get acquainted with the life of one of these cities. Participants were greatly impressed by the trip to Snezhinsk school, which has the most advanced classes, gym with modern equipment, wonderful canteen and even a swimming pool (!).
In addition to classes each day children prepared for the stage performance. The days of "Kurchatovets" were thematic, groups were given tasks and then demonstrated their solution in a creative way. The most memorable was, perhaps, the event " Vernisage " and "Christmas miracle." Children showed a hidden meaning in the famous paintings of great artists. And on the eve of Christmas we remembered the wonderful folk tradition “carol-singing”, heard the good wishes of peace, happiness and kindness. Everyone understood a "Christmas miracle" in his own way, but all managed to convey in their performances the mood of joy of coming holiday. High school students were invited to come up and show the legend of the famous scientific discoveries. The most striking was a legend illustrating a theory of Charles Darwin.
Moreover our participants sang songs, had tube riding, and the "path of trust," and "fun starts”. At the end guys admitted they did not want to leave, that they will definitely see each other again, that they really want to go back to the interesting, unusual and beautiful world "Kurchatovets."
