Every yearthe main directions of the Festival also become wider. The qualifying rounds will pass in the following categories from November to April in different cities of the region:
- contest of patriotic songs;
- photo contest creativity;
- crafts  contest "Art Fun";
- contest of technical creativity;
- contest of artistic expression;
- festival of sport;
- intellectual contest of freshmen from universities;
- contest of choreography.

The qualifying rounds were held on four directions at the Palace for two days. On the opening day of the Festival you could hear from the stage songs about Russia, Chelyabinsk, about nature and the people living in our country. You could also listen to the poems about the motherland, courage, bravery, heroism and friendship. And you could see exhibit items, reflecting the national colors of the Urals . The second day of the Festival was devoted to the choreography. Participants presented dance performances for all types of choreographic art. The jury has watched attentively and evaluated according to the strict criteria. 

Pupils of the Palace also participated in this prestigious festival. Our guys showed their skills in contests of patriotic songs, artistic expression, choreography and the application work. As a result, the choreographic group "Chimes" with a dance "A small spindle" became a winner, the children's team of School of Contemporary Dance "Dance Mix" with a dance "Boys and Girls" got a diploma. A vocal group "Bell" with a song "Russia" and vocal studio with a song "Fly, feather" not only became prize-winners of the contest, but also successfully reached the final of the Festival. A pupil from the theatrical studio "Carnival" will perform the poem "Please be quiet" in May 2014.
