Homemade gliders and parachutes were soaring under the ceiling, aircrafts with rubber motors were going round, numerous helicopters"fly" were cleaving the air, reminding of the propeller.
The conversations among participants were muffled by the motors of radio controlled model cars and helicopters. But cars with rubber motors (the speed is not important) competed in the range of distances silently.
Younger students with such passion launched the gliders from a thin wooden plate and with wings from the foam plastic.
SUSU arena holds the competitions for 17 years. In the early years there were many participants, then there was a lull. According to the organizers, recently students have become more interested in sports modeling. Sergey Filippov, technology teacher from the school № 81, puts the team for the fifth time. Some time agothere was not such a category as radio-controlled modelin the competition. Young technicians were making everything themselves. "The child is not able to create a radio-controlled model. However, working with them allows children to master the technique of application. The more complex the mechanism is, the more interesting it is to operate. This passion is sports component of the competition ", - said the teacher Sergey Phillipov.
